Hey  Everyone!

Sorry I haven't written in a while..I have been so busy! Work is going awesome and I am slowly starting to come to the place where I can not only realize God's will for my life each day, but follow Him as well as He gives each new day. I am focusing on surrenduring to God in my life in many areas, and it is hard, but gives me such a peace to press on for His glory in my life. I am preparing to kick off my ministry pretty soon here, and hopefully, by next year, I will be touring the states playing music and speaking at youth groups/rallies and other gatherings. I have three potential concerts coming up this next month or two.  I am using them to tell people about my upcoming CD and what it is all about. I will post more about that on my xanga sometime later.  I am so excited to have the opportunities God has given me and I really want to reach hearts, not just make good music. So continue to keep me in your prayers. I look forward to meeting you all some day! :)

Well, tomorrow I'm off to work again... another day to serve Jesus!

I am soooo psyched!!!!!! i am crazily overexcited! lol...

irene invited me to this derek webb concert, but i wasn't sure if i could go because of work, but my manager gave me the night off! woot! it will be so cool... ooh and we were talking about doing a cd of old hymns (irene and i and paul james) // that would be a cool little project to do on sunday afternoons! :) if u guys don't know, www.purevolume.com/sweetebenezer was a band i was in a few years ago, and paul and i were the lead guys, and irene was backup vocals... im thinking of keeping the name sweet ebenezer because it sounds so cool.. ;)

anywho..please keep me in your prayers as i pray for you all!

oh and for the sake of all that's comfortable and cushy, leave me some comments! :) pleeeeeeeaaaasee??

oh, and i jsut got the cingular phone with itunes and it rocks!

Hey Everyone!

Well, God is so awesome! I see Him at work in my life and heart in so many ways, and even when I can't see His hand working in me, I know that it is because His word assures me! This is truly an amazing life. I read something very cool by Ozwald Chambers that went something like this:

Knowledge for following God doesn't come by study for the Christian, but by obedience. When you move forward in obedience to God, He immediately makes known in you the path to take. You could spend hours or years of scholarly research to discover God's will for you, but if you would simply step forward, His Spirit would supply all of the knowledge you need. I (shawn) am reminded of the verse where Paul says "We have the mind of Christ", and I am challenged to really have that be true by being obedient to my calling.

anyway, thought i'd share that! :) Oh, I am going over to the Pastor's this afternoon to watch a movie with irene.. the newsboys thrive concert! its a good one! anyway, good stuff! :)

It's the question of who you are.  Why you do the things that you do, and where you are headed. Or more personally, these are my questions.

I am set on seeking the Lord to the extreme. Its so easy to get caught up in a comfortable experience of church and timed prayers, but i don't want that. I know that when I start feeling comfortable that I need to get up and keep pressing forward to know God more and seek His face. At the same time, I yearn for comfort, to feel that I have my life set straight before God. I long to be mroe set apart for HIm and more in love with Him. Its such a radical experience. And the one thing I learn from all of this day to day is:

We..I desperately need God! Oh how we need HIm! There is no life, no breath, no existence apart from Him. He is all good and all that is good is only because of Him. This is an awesome reality, and one that shakes me to the very core. I want to live like I need God. I want to live dependant on Him, following His will, hearing His voice, doing His work. So many times I know I get in the way, but Jesus isn't telling us to simply get ourselves out of the way. He calls us to Himself. "Abandon yourself, and chase me"

I find that the Christian life is one of yearning, struggle, and yet filled with incredible joy and excitement that I can't explain. I just want to encourage everyone that feels their walk with God is dull to realize the simple but heavy truth that we need Him! When you are realizing that my friends, you are not in a dull walk for you have just stepped across the threshhold from dull to adventure.

I also write this today because I am seeking God about my future right now in a few different areas... ministry, relationship, and music (and that's as far as i'll say about it right now)  I would appreciate any prayers, and esp about the "relationship" part because i know that it ties in so much with being all for God, and I am seeking Him about a certain person right now... :)

Ministry aspect, I am so excited about the upcoming project! I want to make sure that God is central focus, and aat the same time, I want the album to reach ears of those who do not know Christ...pray that God would help me figure out how to tie that together.. :)

Hey!!!!

LOL...Okay I just have to talk about the New David Crowder*Band Cd!! It is so awesome! I bought two copies of it the day after it came out (not both for myself ... i picked one up for irene and gave it to her at bible study to her huge surprize..hehe)..and man I gotta tell ya, this is the most moving, creative, spiritually uplifting, worshipful, exciting, and just plain cool album! I am so excited about it still even though its been in my player non stop for the past few days...lol... okay, maybe a little overpshyched, but it is my favorite CD of this year! :)

the song "Come Awake" is beautiful.. and the song "You Are My Joy" is brilliant! Not to mention the rest of the 21 songs on the cd...

anyway, everything is going great! although, it has been raining torrents over here which makes everything pretty soggy....How about you guys?
